White Wolf Wasn’t Selected for AI.motion. We Keep Moving.

A lone filmmaker walks through an empty cinema toward daylight after a festival decision.

The White Wolf trailer was not selected for AI.motion.

I wanted to say that plainly. I shared that we were waiting for the decision, and now we have it. I am disappointed. You can know going in that festivals have limited slots and still feel the sting when the answer is no.

But I am also proud that we put the trailer out there. Making White Wolf has meant taking a chance on an idea, learning in public, and improving the film one version at a time. A rejection is part of that process. It does not erase the work or change what I see in the movie today.

One more TMFF decision tomorrow

We expect to hear from TMFF tomorrow morning, October 1. This is our second chance there, and if we are not selected, it will be our last attempt with TMFF. I am hopeful, but I am not going to pretend I know how it will go. I will share the result when we actually have it.

The film keeps moving

The trailer went ahead of the feature for a reason: it could introduce the project while I kept working on the full movie. That work is still happening. Every sound, color, pacing, and final-master decision is about making the next version stronger, whether a festival says yes or no.

I am also still weighing the separate full-film submission to the Garden State Film Festival. That decision will be based on whether the finished film is ready to stand on its own. AI.motion’s trailer result does not make that call for me.

So yes, today hurts a little. Tomorrow brings another answer. And either way, I will be back at the timeline, doing the work.

Thank you for following White Wolf through the wins, the revisions, and the difficult notices too. Onward.

I am giving myself a moment to feel both of those things, then I am getting back to the film. Eight submissions are still out there, and I am not going to write their endings before the festivals do.
