Well, this is a pretty surreal one. New World Film Festival has published an interview with me about White Wolf, how this whole thing started, and what it took to turn an idea into my first feature film.
I’ve spent months looking at timelines, fixing shots, listening to dialogue, and convincing myself that this version really was the final version. Seeing someone else make room for the story behind the movie is a pretty incredible feeling.
From New Jersey to New World
Before any of this, I was a dad from New Jersey with a career in IT and a story I wanted to tell. I’m still that guy. Now there’s a finished movie, a private screening coming up, and an interview on a film festival’s website. That takes a minute to sink in.
In the interview, we get into where White Wolf came from, why family sits at the center of it, and what it was like learning filmmaking by making a feature. We also talk about using AI to create the film’s characters, voices, and imagery, then doing the editing, sound work, and color work needed to bring it all together.
The tools gave me a way to attempt this. Every decision about what stayed in the movie still had to serve the story.
The person behind the film
There are a few lighter moments in there, too: the running joke about how many cuts I could call “final,” the producer and director in my head trying to agree, and who I’d love to see in a live-action version someday.
But the reason for making White Wolf has stayed pretty simple. I wanted you to care about this family. I wanted the danger to mean something. And I wanted you to understand why this father refuses to stop.
“This isn’t revenge. It’s a rescue.”
Thank you, New World
A huge thank you to the New World team for giving me the opportunity to share this part of the journey, for their time, and for helping put independent filmmakers and their work in front of people. I’m grateful that White Wolf gets to be part of that conversation.

And to everyone who’s been following along from the beginning: thank you. Getting to share moments like this with you means a lot.
